Piloting the YAOKI Lunar Rover
AP Kids School, which we run with Pangaea LLC, visited the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan) as a spring break project.
The purpose of the trip was to experience piloting the YAOKI, a lunar rover that was selected by NASA for Dymon Co., Ltd.
Mr. Nakajima, the president of Dymon, and we are acquainted through ASTRAX.
NASA has been promoting space exploration by utilizing the power of the private sector.
The rover to be used on the moon in the Artemis Mission is the Starship of SPACE X, a private spacecraft company.
I am very happy to see a probe from a private venture company from Japan being selected among such big names.
Space is no longer a place to aspire to, a place of dreams, or just for national researchers.
From now on, it will be a space (=space) for the private sector to improve people’s lives.
